FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Clear Answers,
So You Know
What to Expect

If you’re unsure about how support works, you’re not alone. Here are answers to the most common questions.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
If you still have questions after reading this, I’m always happy to talk it through.

1. GETTING STARTED

Getting started is simple.
You can either reach out directly or be referred by a support coordinator or family member.
We’ll begin with a conversation to understand what’s currently happening, what’s not working, and what kind of support would be most helpful.
From there, we take clear, practical next steps — at a pace that feels manageable.

No, you don’t need a formal referral.
You can get in touch yourself, or someone can reach out on your behalf.
If you have a support coordinator, we can also work alongside them to get everything set up smoothly.
This depends on availability, but we aim to begin as soon as possible.
In most cases, we can start with an initial conversation within a few days, and move into ongoing support shortly after.

2. RECOVERY COACHING
(CAPACITY BUILDING)

Recovery coaching is focused on helping you build independence in everyday life.
It’s about understanding what’s getting in the way, and creating simple, practical systems that help you move forward — not just in theory, but in real life.
Therapy often focuses on understanding thoughts, emotions, and past experiences.
Recovery coaching focuses on what’s happening day to day — building routines, creating structure, and supporting you to follow through on practical steps.

YOUR SUPPORT TEAM
